Concept/Comps—Examples 1

A big part of my design process is to work initially through pencil layouts, to begin my problem-solving steps towards solid, workable concepts and designs. Some of the benefits are: ideas can be shared faster, clients can see more ideas for consideration and clients can get more involved in the creative process too. I've found that projects get off to a better start once good ideas can be fleshed out first, before going to the computer stage. And, once an idea rough is started, it can continue to be tightened up, improved and finessed through progressive pencil versions, so ideas can be worked out more thoroughly.
